Welcome to Eyecare Essentials which is locally owned and operated by the husband and wife team Nolan Barit, OD and Laura Barit, Manager. Along with their staff, they strive to make their office friendly and inviting while providing exceptional eyecare services and contact lenses.  This is done by utilizing advanced Ophthalmic equipment and the latest in contact technology.  Their goal is to give every patient the time and attention they need for their services.

Dr. Barit, graduated from Duquense University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He then earned his Doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.  He has practiced on the East Coast with a large Optometric company in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.  In the state of Texas, he holds a Therapeutic Optometry license with additional credentials as a Glaucoma Specialist.

Mrs. Barit graduated from the University of San Francisco.  In addition to volunteering nationally and internationally, she has managed businesses within the San Francisco Bay Area in the service and financial industries over the past decade.  She is currently completing an Executive EMBA program at Baylor University while managing Eyecare Essentials.

Together, the Barit’s relocated to Texas and opened Eyecare Essentials in the Fall of 2007 within the beautiful Hill Country Galleria.  They are active members of the American Optometric Association as well as the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce. They also believe in giving back to the community and participate in the “Gift of Sight” program in which they volunteer their time on a monthly basis to those in need of eyecare.
