Welcome to Eyecare Essentials which is locally owned by Nolan Barit, OD.  Along with staff, Dr. Barit strives to make the office friendly and inviting while providing exceptional eyecare services and contact lenses.  This is done by utilizing advanced Ophthalmic equipment and the latest in contact lens technology.  Eyecare Essentials goal is to give every patient the time and attention they need for their services.

Dr. Barit, graduated from Duquense University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He then earned his Doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.  He has practiced on the East Coast with a large Optometric company in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.  In the state of Texas, he holds a Therapeutic Optometry license with additional credentials as a Glaucoma Specialist.

Dr. Barit relocated to Texas and opened Eyecare Essentials in the Fall of 2007 within the beautiful Hill Country Galleria.  He is an active member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Barit also believes in giving back to the community and participates in the “Gift of Sight” program in which he volunteers his time on a monthly basis to those in need of eyecare.
